Urban squid jig (new)

Chop hock Heng had just bring in a new range of squid jig, size ranging from 2.5,3.0 and 3.5. 8 color Some of them had very nice color ,it's hard to see on the photos few of them had flash in the body itself.

We try them out when i had the time hahaha

Watching this video makes me wanna go eging! esp to try on a boat hahaha. Had never try eging on a boat before wonder when will have a chance to do that.

Itchy for eging

Its really been awhile since i last went for eging hahaha, that afternoon i checked the tide hmmm seems like a good tide for eging so me,aylwin and Benjamin went over to labrador park to try our luck.

I took a cab from my place lol i told the uncle tat i wanna go labrador park and he asked me hmmm is it the big B.P thingy place? i was like hmmm ya but the P.B thingy was not there for don't know how many years liao lor hahaha but anyway luck he knows how to go lol.

When i reach labrador park hmmm why so bright huh.... oh shit oh shit its full moon no wonder la so bright. totally forgot about it

Oh well lol since i'm already here just try lor.

Cheap squid jig won the war

Yesterday night me and mondo decided to try our luck again for squids, after seeing some of the post in the forum kekeke. The guy which posted it was not fishing at the place we were but somehow it tells us that they are back.

After my work and dinner we head down to the location and started casting with our fav jigs like the yozuri, evergreen and yamashita.

Nothing seems to be working.

Boring..... hai.....

Then i dig out a jig that ever landed my biggest squid in CBW, well.... hopefully it works wonder again kekeke.

After about 10mins of casting finally the first squid came to visit us, its a good sized one i can say hahaha. If i don't remember wrongly the jig cost me about $3-$4 only but landed me quite a number of squid liao.




LOL after that i landed 2 more squid on the same jig kekeke.





Due to time limit we call it off early as we got to work the next day, mondo was lucky to hit a small one before we leave with his evergreen jig.



Total 3 for me 1 for mondo

Lonely Squids

Few days ago me,mondo and momok went for a short eging trip after my work. Heard from some customer saying that ponggol jetty de squids are back liao. So i decided to give it a try at one of the spot that we use to catch quite a bit of squids.

Tide is coming up at 11.30pm highest we were there about 3 hours before trying very hard, but hor nothing seems to be working....

So i tot of working the squid jig on the surface as i knew sometimes they are on the surface lol. After a few try i hooked a small squids and that was the only one for that night lol.



We call it off at about 11pm, sad sad they are not there yet maybe they are still in ponggol swimming their way to our xxxxxxx spot lol.

Oh ya we had a great trip today kekeke , will post up the pics soon once i collected all the pics from ibr.

Hi guys just came back from fishing and i'm very tired now hahaha, it was a good trip today hahaha i got my first fish in year 2010 liao so happy...... . This monring i was so worry after dropping a queen fish on my chug bug. Luckly at the end of the day i landed my new year fish kekeke

But i'm now aleepy and tired to post anything about it, i'll post it up once i got more time k.

Btw my last catch for 2009 was a small squid on 30th Dec lol the whole night only 1 sad sad....

Changi boardwalk eging

Last night had a call from ivan he asked me if i'm interested to go eging, i was like huh... eging?....lol .

For the past 1-2 months the squids seems like not around lor , actually on tuesday night me and mondo went to 1 of the fav spot but ended up a big fat zero egg again.

Just do not know why lol

But anyway me and my few friends we went to Changi boardwalk last night to try our luck again, Changi boardwalk use to be a place that has quite a good catch rates in the past when i first spotted it but i think its dying down liao the catches are not as good as last time.

After about 2 hours i only manage to land a average size squid

Lab park eging

Last night actually was not a good day and timing to go for eging but me and my friends decided to go kill some time in lab park. We was there about 8.30pm not much of anglers around last night. So we started trying our lucks but hmmm lol zero was landed and after awhile we gave up and relax.

At around 10 plus hmmm dont know whos great idea to go prawning so we went over to the Ebi culture prawning at Aroozoo Ave. Will put up details and photos on my next post.

Last night Eging

Yesterday night me and mondo decided to try our luck again after a long break, everything looks perfect (weather , tide , timing) we was at the eging location 3hrs before highest tide.

The first hour i landed 2 squids tot it could be a good start but sad thats the only 2 squid ard hahahaha, both squids took my jig on the surface while i am retrieving the jig back from a far cast.

Bite rates very low and boring so we call it off early for kopi .

Thursday night - Friday night

Thursday night

A visit to the barracuda haven after a long break on that spot, everything seems to change alot lol but the mosquito still never change i kena bite untill i forgot my name for a moment lol. I lost a rapala fat rap deep runner dueing my crank before it hit bottom the barracuda took it and swim towards me, then when i realise it and gave it a strike my line spring back onto my face hai... my leader kena cut by the cuda liao....

lucky that night mondo landed a 6lb kim on halco rooster while he slow popping it along the breaker.







Haha our luck in saltwater is coming back liao..... kekeke

Friday night

Me and mondo went for a short eging trip after beach rd kopi season, and ya looks like the squid are back at that area kekeke its not a fantastic trip last night but compared to the last 2 zero trip its still better hahaha.













Oh ya roger and another few friends were at the other end... i'm wondering how was their catches there .......

Today will not go fishing
