Last sunday me and some of my friends went to the shimano open house at hotel rendezvous. The turn out of the event was good i guess hahaha,quite a bit of friends were there like a mini gathering.

Shimano showcase some of their new products, i kinda like the new shimano vanquis light and smooth











On the event they have this lucky draw thingy all you need to do is pay $10 to get a copy of the shimano latest catalog, it comes with a roll of powerpro line and a lucky draw ticket

I got a small shimano FX Reel from the draw whahahaha

2011 DAIWA New CALDIA

The new daiwa caldia 2011 model looks real cool lol looks like i'm gonna get it when its in sg.I had the older model of caldia it has been working good with me for about i think 4-5 years.

Was wondering will the new caldia be as good as the older ones? Nowadays things are not made to last,some new model from daiwa had some bad feedback eg the roto and gears problem etc... and the magseal thingy.

chop hock heng will be bringing in some new reel from Pflueger, hmmm maybe not much of you guys had heard of this brand in singapore. Today got some free time at work so i took some pics of the reel lol.

NEW SALTY STAGE REVO vs-1

Few days back we had some reels from Purefishing arrived in the shop, the first thing that caught my attention was this abu SALTY STAGE REVO VS-1. its an new model from abu garcia, i have done some search on the net of the reel but the search results linked me to some korean website lol. i could not understand a single word lor.

i may consider getting it for local offshore fishing hahaha, the specs of the reel are about the same as revo toro.

LOL need to do more research before getting it, if anyone wanna see the real thing pop by to chop hock heng bah.....

DAIWA BRADIA 2500

Just got myself a new reel from hotspot today lol it's a great offer lor and i don't want to miss it. I think if i miss it this time very have to come across such a great deal again lol.

Some say the bradia is an lower version of CERTATE 2500R CUSTOM hmmm will i not sure lol but from the look of the Reel Spec both reels are almost the same lor. Is just that Certate 2500R has more bearings than the bradia and bradia come with a folding handle and the reel is in black, hai..... need to spend a bit more money to change the handle and knob to RCS parts if you want to make it look nicer. lol think i will only change them on my next pay day bah.

This coming sunday i'll be going for an local offshore trip hahaha i can try my new toy liao hopefully i can catch something with it.
