Small fish is better than no fish

Hai recently the fishing for me and my kakis is bad......can't put to much hope when we are out to fish hahaha. Today we plan to go for the kim and grouper but ended up only manage to catch a few snall but kinda fun fish.

Ibr was the champ today with his new bought Ima Sasuke 75 Shad he had landed 2 fish and a few miss. hmmm think i should get 1 too hahaha.

After seeing ibr landed the Tilapia and was saying that the fish was actually quite strong so i diged out a small and cute tiny bassday KANGOKU CRANK 27 S-BS to see if i'm lucky to hit any hahaha.

On my 3rd cast on the lure with slow crank i hitted a Tilapia too hahaha




After that we went to search for the kims and grouper but hai.....zero for us. We are sure the kims are around but they just not taking lures anymore hahaha. As we bumped into a friend which ae baiting at the same location and landed 2 kims with live prawns.

I started to wonder is CNR really making them smarter?

Hard time fishing

For the past few days i had been trying very hard at 1 of the location i used to fish in, but something is not right i'm not catching anything. i'm very sure that the fishes are around as i saw them coming up to the surface to feed and some of them are whacking hard on the bait fish .

I only had 2 takes but both are not hooked, 1 was on furry popper another was on chug bug

am i working the lures to fast? i had try almost everything i can think of and what i had but hai just can't catch anything.

hmmm.

Well... will not give up untill i cought something that ans all my qns.

One more fishing ground gone for sure ( marina south pier )

Sunday afternoon me and sh decided to try our luck at marina south pier " the right hand side of the pier" we reach the pier at about 4.30pm . When i got down from the bus i was stock to see all the trees all gone, sudenlly sh say oh shit got fence then i saw it. It was fully fenced up. Oh man it was a bad news for all anglers, another great spot gone.









Fishes that i have seen people catching was grouper, MJ's, todaks, ang chor, Coral Trout, queenfish, but now...... hai... GONE!

Well me and sh try for about 2 hours but lol big fat zero again, at 7 plus we call it a day and went for our dinner.

hmmm after our dinner our hands are still itchy like hell so both of us went to the nearest freshwater hole to try our luck.

Changi boardwalk eging

Last night had a call from ivan he asked me if i'm interested to go eging, i was like huh... eging?....lol .

For the past 1-2 months the squids seems like not around lor , actually on tuesday night me and mondo went to 1 of the fav spot but ended up a big fat zero egg again.

Just do not know why lol

But anyway me and my few friends we went to Changi boardwalk last night to try our luck again, Changi boardwalk use to be a place that has quite a good catch rates in the past when i first spotted it but i think its dying down liao the catches are not as good as last time.

After about 2 hours i only manage to land a average size squid

17.10.09 Saturday night me ,ivan,jarrett and xris with his GF went over to the pond to try our luck we found out that the water are no longer Crystal clear

They now release ang chor and added colouring to the water

bait turn blue after parking for awhile lol., hmmm we try for an hour for 2 rods but sad only xris landed 1 ang chor.

A friend of mine told me that the management will be releasing other species of fish into the pond but lol dont know when....

Bishan prawning

17.10.09 Saturday afternoon me and xris went to bishan for 3 hours prawning and that was my 2nd time there. The first time was in the night quite sometimes back to the 2 bigger ponds at the main entrance, xris was a regular prawner at bishan so that day he bring me to the other 4 small pond located behind/below the restaurant.

The whole place are packed with poeple in the afternoon lol can't imagine how much poeple will there be in the night.

The bite rates was very very consistent, i think this was the best prawning pond i ever went lol. You won't feel boring de lor drop your bait for awhile only got take liao. But i sucks at prawning lol unable to hook up any on that day hahaha wasted the time. Jarrett came to join us for an hour , both xris and him look so pro sia hahaha.

But xris say that the day was not so good , on a good day he alone can land 60 to 70 prawns .......

anyway that day we only have 20 over prawns as lol i wasted the time fooling around hahaha

Queens after a few months

Hi guys there is so much to blog about my weekend hahaha a very busy saturday for me. i went to the wild and from pond to pond but first i'll blog about the morning trip with my friends, a trip for the queens.

we meeted up for breakfast at my places at about 6.30am after that we head down to the location at 7am, some of you might think we missed the first light haha actually nope we did not plan to go that early . For some location first light is good and might be important or is a must but for the location that we are going the queens will only start taking after 9am. Timing of tide is most important thing for saltwater fishing be it luring or baiting once if you miss the tide and timing for THAT spot you will miss the fun hahaha.

Different place different tide and timing to catch even if i tells you a spot but you go at a wrong tide timing its useless.

We started to cast at around 7.45am sharing the location with a few more fishor, we are able to see splashes of the queens whacking the bait fish around us but they just not taking our lures.



Around 8.45am ibr landed a 3lb queenfish on cherry blood MD90




Finally landed a queen at this location after so many months of waiting haha they are back......

we call if off at about 9.30 and went over to fishing buddy for our lunch , and meet up with xris.

Me and xris after that went to bishan prawning in the afternoon and night we went to east coast pole pond to fish will update it up soon later in the evening.

Ebi culture prawning at Aroozoo Ave

after lab park last night we went over to this ebi culture prawning our first time to this prawning pond located at Aroozoo Ave. i have heard wen long talking about it but got no chance to drop by untill yesterday.

Not very sure on the charges you can call them and ask if you are going lol.

We was there for 3 hours ( 2 rods )and they release prawns 2 times but the bite rates are very low.

Prawns are small too, super boring night lol but lucky they got a pool table around.

If you like to drink and prawn at the same time they sell alcohol there too lol.

Today wanted to go fly la yan but weather sucks so not going liao lol, fly la yan (kite) with rods is fun lol.
