Shark Fin Spinning Reels
I'm now in malaysia fishing hahaha i scheduled this post to be Published today. I'll be testing out a prototype Shark Fin Spinning Reel on this trip. maybe i'm now catching lots of fish or maybe i'm #@#$%&*#$ now kekeke. well.... again wish me luck

Luhr-Jensen Peacock Bass Special/Bakau frog
Preparing for the toman fishing trip on today to malaysia
sometime got 2 interseting lures from hotspot. The Peacock Bass Special by Luhr-Jensen they are the maker of the woodchopper too. Hmmm they call it the Peacock Bass Special... they design it for Peacock Bass ?
Must be the Amazon ones hahaha
The weight of the lure was just 21g but casting that lure is not easy, you got to cast it with a heavy action rod or else i don't think you can get distance. maybe due to the profile of the body and the propeller i guess

The Peacock Bass Special has a dual propeller at the back, diff from his older brother woodchooper. I still have 1 of those woodchooper in my collection lol, woodchopper has 1 propeller at the front 1 at the back damn hard to cast lol.

But anyway i'll be bring it up for my toman hunting trip in june. Some of my friends that has went up to the place told me to get some of those Weedless popping frog too.
Luckly sometimes back i got 2 Bakau weedless popping frog from hotspot hai.... sad that i only grap 2 of them as now they got no more stock liao. If i don't remember wrongly they cost $3.00 each.....

Toman pond 20.0610
After a night of fishing in ah tiong pond on saturday night , sunday morning went home to sleep all the way till late noon then i woke up. After washing up my stuff i turn on my TV, got some sms from friends.... but 1 sms really shock me abit.
"Alan we are on the way to your place liao get ready your stuff we go toman pond"
So i packed some lure this and that....
Alvin called me saying they reach my hse liao hahaha
Off we go to the toman pond .....
From the past 2 trip to the place i am a little bit worry lol as the result on the past trip was not very good lor.
LOL me and alvin try our lures kinda hard but still can't beat the baiters. Now the pond had changed management , new management allows anglers using baits and they will provide Live tilapia.
From what they say each anglers will be given 7 tilapia for an hour.
If i don't remember wrongly lures only landed 1 or 2 tomans that day lol, me and alvin end up joined the baitting gang. LOL baits are still the best lor , need not to wait long fish take liao. But we are not using any wire leader hmmmm pros and cons la.
Becos if the fish deep throat the hook you may end up paying for the fish 1kg $7 for the fish, so usually if you are not using wire leaders you normal leader will break off if the fish deep throat the hook. Con will be Of cos you lose the fish la
You got the be very fast when a fish took your live tilapia, got to set the hook asap not letting it to take the whole thing in or else you will lose the fish.
Chanp of that day was still bryan he had the most takes and landed the most hahahaha.
Ok here are the pics of that day. lol actually not much pics everyone is busy fishing. 4 of us landed i think over 10 tomans.
This coming saturday me,ibr and mondo will be heading up to malaysia for some toman fishing kekeke on a boat somemore hahaha hopefully it will be a fun trip for us. i'll try to take more pics and videos back for you guys kekeke.

Ah tiong pond on saturday night
On saturday ngiht me and jarrett last min decided to gave ah tiong pond a try to kill some itch , so after watching power sunday on ch U 11pm we made our move over.
Now ah tiong pond only open on weekends if i'm not wrong it could be the licensing issues.
Oh well don't care lol
That night the catch rates was not very good, bites are slow even some of the regular there are having hard time in catching fish. Rubbers there is a NO NO, we try for an hour also no takers....I guess the fish in the pond don't take lures.
Oh ya even after they release fish no one landed anything.
we fished till 6am in the morning total catch was 3 small ones... so sad hahaha
Live prawn 1 dead prawn 2 . 3 of them were landed near to the fish keeping net.
It was a boring night lol at home sleep better.
