night fishing catches from the past 2 nights

The group of us was very hard working for the past 2 nights hunting for kims again, on tuesday night we went to a old spot that some big head bring me for Sand Whiting aka Swa Jiam hunting about 3 years ago. The place was full of baitfish that night and our newly luck sucking buddy mondo did it again, on his first few cast he had a small cuda landed on ima keeps 90S.

After photos fish was released back for another day.

We moved around the area to recee abit and found out that when the water level starts to get higher the baitfish seem to be getting lesser and lesser. Oh ya we also saw something big swimming on the surface lol we have no idea wat was it but i'm sure its not a fish or monitor lizard hmmm got to be more careful next time if we are going there again.

Yesterday we went to beach rd for awhile to get some info about going over to Thailand Surat Thani Cheow Lan Lake in the Khao Sok National Park we get to know about this from Anglers Outfitter Expedition with Alvin Lim .

Alvin also show us some of his recent trip photos that he have not update onto his blog it was WOW ...... i'm so itchy to go hahahaha after seeing those great photos.

AO do not organise trip to Surat Thani but alvin is very kind and willing to give us the contact or even help us arrange things. haha its time to save up money liao.....

We had our dinner in beach rd at about 6pm we leave the place and went fishing, lol did yesterday morning rain? the 3 of us had no idea it rain yesterday morning lor when we reach the place was full of rubbish due to the rain i guess almost every cast we had a hook up of rubbish. LOL what to do we are already there liao so just kept clearing rubbish lor. Ya jarrett came to join us in the cleaning team at 7.30pm 1 cast 1 rubbish hahaha.

OH ya the mosquito last night was 2 times more compared to our prev trip, scary...... sia....

8.30pm i am so tired and wanted to give up liao but i told myself can't gave up so easily i must keep casting..... while i was talking to ibr saying "wow today like nothing leh" suddenlly i feel a tap and off it goes... the pull was quite ok its was a 2kg kim on the redhead pro hunter again kekeke

After awhile jarrett had a very close take right under his feet but too bad the fish did not get the lure kekeke lure used was pro hunter minnow the rainbow one. Hai after that everything quiet down so we leave the place about 10pm to a nearby kopi shop to find food





The kopi shop look ulu ulu but the food there was nice........

5 ika night

Actually we was planning to go luring yesterday night with mondo but we have no idea where to go so ended up we went for eging. Weather was good and the wind was blowing from behind letting us cast more far kekeke.

Recently we bought some yo-zuri AURIE-Q so last night we went to try them out, water was still kinda low when we reach. For the first 1 hour mondo landed 3 small ones, the bite rate was kinda slow last night. So i moved abit and casted another side of the breaker just a few stroke i had a take far out from the weight and pull i knew it was a sizeble one so i called mondo over for help, mondo went down to the breaker with his net but before he can reach the squid hook came off and the squid got away. SAD SAD....

NVM i kept casting at the same area hopeing that they are still around

Suddenlly i felt something very heavy at the end of my line much more heavy than the 1 i lost so i slowly left it up but it droped me and mondo tot it was some rubbish or what as there's no pull at all , so i drop my jig back to the bottom sec's later i felt a strong pull and i "set" WOW it was really a squid hahahaha a good size 1 somemore, mondo quickly grap his net and netted up the squid

yeah.........

From saltwater to freshwater luring

Friday night we decided to go back to 1 of our playground to try our luck for the Barramundi. Meeted up with yuki mondo and ibr at around 12am at my place and we went to a nearby kopi shop to chat for awhile before entering as we are going for the down going tide, tide reading for that day was 2.7m at 1.13am full tide.

At about 1.30am we leave the kopi shop and went into the location, hmmm no one is fishing tonight haha the whole place is ours. But before we started to fish the mosquito started to bite lol i think i had the most bites becos.... i need to go "SHIT" in the nature hahaha my butt are still itching now :X

We casted for about 3hours non stop along the breakers i went up and down the whole night but nothing seems to be working, tired and sleepy so the 3 of us took a short break sitting side by side suddenlly i heard a very familiar sound. So i jumped up and went over to take a look yup confirm it was the sound that i'm waiting for, the sound of Barramundi sucking for food. Just do not know why i took out my chug bug and start to pop slowly here and there soon mondo came to my side but he was using the pro hunter minnow one of the cheap and good stuff in the market ever.

kekeke i stocked up some at home too :X..

Ok back to the story

Suddenlly i saw something at a corner and my experience tell me that something is there so i casted my popper over, on my 2nd pop the sucker whacked my popper but it missed

i can feel it sucking the popper hai.....

Nvm i know where are you now so i made another cast over "pop pop pop, pop pop pop, boom!" it was him again whacked my popper 2nd time lol but was sad again hahaha missed the 2nd time AGAIN!!!. WTH...... than when i turn my head i saw mondo's rod bending and reel screaming hmmm or it was him screaming? oh lol nvm that it was a good one and ya ibr is right yuki mondo is a sucker too cos his the new luck sucker lol.

mins later mondo pumped the fish back and i went down to bring the fish up guess what? he broke his own record liao it was a nice looking 4kg fish.

After that nothing liao so we moved back slowly along the way we bump into banhock he was there too chatted with him for awhile than we call it a day as too tired and sleepy to fish anymore .

I got a grouper on technic squid jig last night

Last night me and mondo went for a short eging trip,we started 1hour 30mins before the max tide. On my first cast i hitted a small squid on the evergreen squid jig with slow retrieving. The squid took the jig very near to the breaker, on my 2nd or 3rd cast while stroking half way suddenlly i could not feel any weight at all "Oh shit my jig is gone!" my main line was cutted off by don't know wat lol maybe it was a cuda that swim with the mouth open lol.

Sad as the evergreen jig was 1 of my fav it landed me quite a number of squid. haha best of all lure haven do not have that colour in stock anymore.....

Soon we start to hit 2 more small ones along the breaker , hmmm seems like they are near this time... so i made a cast quite near to the breaker and start working it. Suddenlly i had a strong take " yes la big one big one mondo it was a big squid"

But.... hahahaha it was a 1 kg plus grouper when i pulled it to surface , mondo grap his net and went down to net it up .

So funny and lucky

Total we had 3 squid and a grouper

We did not release the fish this time hahaha mondo took the fish and squid back for dinner.
