local light jigging trip on the 4th day of CNY 2011

Recently weather was so scary esp if you had boat trip coming up hahaha, lucky on this trip the weather was good.......

As usual this trip i went out with some of my close kakis,ibr,sh,thomas and blur blur :X. Boat set off at about 7.30am from west coast rsyc, it took us about 20mins to reach the first location.








The water flow on this day was kinda fast so i used a 60G surecatch Flasher to try my luck, kekeke luck was on my side i hitted a 2.3kg Longrakered Trevally aka Peh Heurr on the flasher.

Reel: Daiwa Bradia 2500R
Line: varivas casting pe 2
Leader: Triumph fluorocarbon Shock Leader 50lb
Lure: Surecatch Flasher 60G
Method: Fast jigging


I guess we hitted the right spot there are more fishes below, we hitted a few more fishes around that area. But sadly we got to leave for some reason


The boatman suggested us to take a break and do some baiting while waiting for the next round of jigging.

Time for hong kong hook .......



We hitted some small groupers too but no pics taken, released them asap cos to small to keep.....

When the tide start to change, water flow getting faster we went back to jigging.

This trip not much of sagai but lol quite a bit of queenie. some we keep some we release upon landing.






While we are busy jigging thomas and blur blur hide at the side lower down their bait for bottom fishing. hahaha lucky they did tat look wat they got for CNY......





Light jigging in sg are still possible :) i had saw some reports from others that had better catches with the same boatman we are using... but why always others are better hahahaha.....

First day of CNY at prp Pole fishing pond

Hello everyone,

Happy chinese new year to all my friends out there!

On the first day of CNY Me and few of my friends went the to pole fishing pond in pasir ris. Some how i find pole fishing was kinda fun kekeke, start our fishing at about 5 plus bite rates for that day was concider good i guess hahaha total fish landed 27pcs.











btw we did not have our own pole rods hahaha just use what they have there, all we need is baits and pliers lol. But... i belif TT will get himself a pole rod soon hahaha. And ya i'm not sure if we are allow to use own rods not but if yes and you got your own lol bring it cos the ones in the pond are fking heavy.

Oh ya just sharing this with you guys if you are going. They had no fish releasing time so remember to tell them to release fish or else don't pay hahaha.

2011 first freshwater catch

Hi guys before i forgotten about it hahaha i better write it down here. i got my first freshwater fish with aylwin about few weeks ago, the few hours trip i only landed 1 fish but i'm very happy with it.

We walk and cast for hours but nothing seems to be taking our lures, we bumped into 2 fly fisherman at that area and they are catching fish de lor.

hmmm hahaha i actually got a fly set from my friends kekeke they gave it to me as a Xmas gift but no chance to try it out. well.....maybe i can learn how to cast from them hahaha so i stop casting my lures and sit somewhere beside watching.

Suddenlly i saw some very small fishes swimming on the surface somewhere near to the weeds,LOL just don't know why i took out my SPRO frog and started to cast at them.

And this is what i get after a few cast.

Its so nice to hit a fish on topwater lures hahaha but the sad thing was i'm using high drags hai.... no choice i had to set my drag high to prevent the fish dashing into the weeds.

January 23, 2011 changi boat fishing trip

Last weekend we had a fun fishing trip with ah chong at changi areas, even the catches was not that fantastic but i belif all of us enjoy the company. This was my first offshore trip for year 2011 hahaha lucky enuff i manage to land some small fishes kekeke better then zero

I guess all the land reclamation had changed changi waters quite a bit as from what i see on the tide table and lunar calendar it should be a fast current tide. But lol even small sinker can reach bottom easilly on that day hmmmm.

Anyway xris landed the first blood of the trip kekeke small but well.... its still a catch.

1 thing i have to say ah chong are still very hard working whenever there is not much of bites he will shift the boat from spot to spot. Thanks ah chong lol if you happen to see this hahaha.







Jamie landed only 1 fish for the trip but his was the biggest fish of the trip lol
